Our History

In 1945, Theron Bradley and Melvin Dawkins founded Bradley & Dawkins Plumbing and Heating Company; the genesis of what 5 years later became Bradley Plumbing and Heating. Mr. Bradley was at the helm of Bradley Plumbing and Heating until 1977 when he resigned as President and Chairman of the Board and sold his remaining interest in the Company to Ray Allen, George Dowling and Charlie Kamburis. During the first 30 plus years, the Company’s primary focus was plumbing service and small residential construction. Under the leadership of Ray Allen, the Company began expanding its operations into heavy mechanical construction. At the same time, Charlie Kamburis established a top notch service team to handle plumbing repairs.

With the additions of Charlie Wood in 1987 and Paul Allen in 1989 Bradley began expanding their operations. The turning point of the Company operations occurred in 1995 when the Company secured the mechanical contract for the construction of the RSA Tower in downtown Montgomery, AL. It was the largest mechanical project secured to date and showcased the skill and expertise of the team that Bradley had assembled. In 2007, the Company expanded to Auburn, AL to provide support for work at Auburn University and the Auburn-Opelika metropolitan area. In 2010, Clark Allen became a member of the leadership team.
